At Encore Dentist, we make becoming a new patient simple at all three of our offices. From your first call to your first cleaning, our team led by Dr. Kevin Cabugao is here to guide you through every step.
What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first visit is about getting to know you and your smile, with no pressure to commit to treatment on the spot.
- We review your health history and listen to your goals and concerns.
- We complete a thorough exam and take any necessary digital images.
- We talk through your options and provide a clear written estimate before you decide anything.
From there, we will help you schedule any care you choose to move forward with, at a pace that works for you.
Before You Arrive
A little preparation helps your first visit go smoothly. Please complete your new patient forms in advance, bring a valid photo ID and a list of current medications, and arrive a few minutes early. If you have dental benefits you would like us to file, bring that information as well.
Insurance, Financing, and Membership
We are an out-of-network practice, which gives us the freedom to focus on your care. If you have a PPO plan, you can usually still use your benefits with us, and we will help you file claims so you receive any reimbursement your plan allows. For patients without insurance, our in-house membership plan and flexible financing make consistent care affordable.
Cost should never be the reason you put off care, yet the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that roughly a third of adults did not have a dental visit in a recent year, often because of cost. We work hard to remove that barrier.

Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. We welcome new patients of all ages at our Castro Valley, American Canyon, and Napa offices.
