Cosmetic Dentist in Napa, CA

Veneers, whitening, bonding, and smile makeovers designed to look like you.

A confident smile can change the way you walk into a tasting room, a business meeting, or a family photo. Coffee, red wine, and the ordinary wear of time often leave teeth dull, chipped, or uneven, and many adults start hiding their smile without noticing.

Our team at Encore Dentist helps Napa adults refresh their smiles with cosmetic care that looks natural up close. Our dentist in Napa office, led by Dr. Kevin Cabugao, brings a restorative and prosthodontic heritage to every cosmetic plan, so each change is planned around your bite as carefully as your appearance.

Cosmetic Dentistry Options at Our Napa Office

Cosmetic dentistry covers any treatment that improves how your teeth look, from a single visit to a full redesign of your smile. Our Napa office offers four core options, and many patients combine two or more. Each one can stand alone or support another, so a small change today can fit into a larger plan later.

Your exam shows which of these fits your goals, and the simplest option is often the right place to start.

Dr. Kevin Cabugao, DDS, MBA — dentist at Encore Dentist in Napa, American Canyon, and Castro Valley, CA

Dr. Kevin Cabugao

DDS, MBA

Because of my commitment to excellence some have labeled me as somewhat of a perfectionist… Although true to a certain extent, I disagree. Without the fear of being wrong, I sincerely care about everything I do and try my best to do it well.”
Born in Hawaii and raised in Vallejo, Kevin Cabugao received his BS in Genetics at the University of California at Davis and worked in biotechnology before refocusing his energies towards graduate school. While Kevin found his work in the pharmaceutical industry rewarding, he felt unsatisfied with his career and sought an education that would best complement his enthusiasm for helping others with his understanding of the sciences. With this intention, he received his MBA from California State University East Bay and DDS from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. Currently, he is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association as a part of the Board of Component Relations and has served as the former President of the Napa/Solano Dental Society.
When away from the office, Kevin enjoys listening to music, snowboarding and honing his martial arts as a 4th degree Kajukenbo black belt with over 30 years of experience!

Dr. Paul Belusko, DDS — dentist at Encore Dentist in Napa, American Canyon, and Castro Valley, CA

Dr. Paul Belusko

DDS

Born and raised in Oregon, Dr. Paul Belusko earned his degree in Biochemistry from Portland State where it was while working in Biotechnology that he realized his calling to serve others was best expressed as a compassionate care provider within dentistry. Soon after, Dr. Belusko attended dental school at Columbia University and graduated with high honors.

During this time, he had the privilege of volunteering as a student dentist serving throughout the rural parts of Jamaica and joined a hospital residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine that partnered with the nearby Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital in the Bronx. As a resident he worked on complex dental cases and added advanced dental implant techniques to his clinical practice. With a surgical skill set greater than most general dentists, Dr. Paul has also earned his fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

After residency, Dr. Belusko returned to the West Coast to serve our veterans at the Washington State VA for several years. Soon after, he travelled south with his wife back to her home state of California, settling down in Napa to be closer to her family and to enjoy the natural beauty of our region as an avid skier, hiker and cyclist. With his wife, keeping his family and community first, Dr. Paul has two children and enjoys mentoring to the local youth as a Napa County 4-H leader in archery and at 4-H camp.

Cosmetic Care Built on Restorative Planning

Cosmetic work lasts longer when it respects how your teeth meet. Before we suggest veneers or bonding, we check your bite, your gums, and any worn or cracked teeth, because a beautiful restoration placed on an unstable bite may chip or loosen early. We also look at how your lips frame your teeth when you speak and smile.

This restorative mindset comes from our Napa office’s long history with crowns, bridges, and full mouth care. Your cosmetic plan can also address an old crown that no longer matches or a worn edge that makes your teeth look shorter. Planning those details together can save you extra visits later.

Why Your Smile Matters to Your Well-Being

How you feel about your teeth affects more than photos. A 2021 study in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health reported that oral health and dental appearance play a meaningful role in psychological well-being, especially for women. Feeling self-conscious about stains or chips can make you smile less, speak less, or avoid photos altogether.

That is why our consultations start with what bothers you most. Some patients want brighter teeth before a wedding, while others want to replace dated dental work that never looked quite right. We listen first, then show you options and realistic outcomes.

What to Expect at Your Cosmetic Consultation

Your first cosmetic visit is relaxed and unhurried. We review your health history, take digital images, and look closely at tooth color, shape, and the line of your gums. If you have photos of a smile you admire, bring them along, because they help us see your taste.

From there, we walk you through each option, the number of visits involved, and a written estimate before any work begins. Completing your patient forms ahead of time lets the visit focus on your goals.

Cost and Financing for Cosmetic Dentistry in Napa

Most dental plans treat cosmetic care as elective, so coverage for veneers, whitening, or bonding is usually limited. When a treatment also repairs damage, such as bonding a broken tooth, part of the cost may qualify for reimbursement. Your estimate separates restorative care from purely cosmetic steps, so you can see where benefits may apply.

As an out-of-network dental practice with one in-network carrier, Cigna, we can submit claims to your PPO for any eligible portion. We also offer flexible dental financing so you can plan treatment in comfortable monthly payments.

Cosmetic Dentistry Questions

Is cosmetic dentistry painful?

Most cosmetic treatments involve little discomfort. Whitening and bonding often need no numbing, and veneer preparation is done with local anesthetic so you stay comfortable. Most patients return to normal activities the same day.

It depends on the treatment and your habits. Whitening may last one to three years, bonding often lasts several years, and porcelain veneers can last ten years or more with good care.

Coverage is usually limited for purely cosmetic care. If a treatment also restores function, part of it may be reimbursable, and we can help you file PPO claims.

Bonding uses tooth colored resin shaped directly on the tooth in one visit. Porcelain veneers are custom made in a lab, take two or three visits, and resist stains better over time.

Yes. Our Napa team welcomes Spanish speaking patients and can explain your cosmetic options in Spanish.
