Porcelain Veneers in Napa, CA
Custom porcelain veneers shaped for your face and bite.
Veneers can erase years of chips, stains, and uneven edges in just a few appointments. For Napa adults who have tried whitening without the change they hoped for, thin porcelain shells often provide the lasting color and shape whitening cannot reach.
Encore Dentist designs porcelain veneers at our Napa office with the same care our team brings to crowns and full mouth restorations. Each case is part of our broader approach to cosmetic dentistry in Napa, so your veneers are planned around your bite, gums, and long-term oral health.
What Porcelain Veneers Can Correct
A veneer is a thin layer of dental porcelain bonded to the front of a tooth. Because it covers the visible surface, it can address several concerns at once. Veneers are typically placed on the teeth that show when you smile, often the front six to ten.
- Stains: deep discoloration from medications, old fillings, or years of coffee and red wine that whitening cannot lift.
- Chips and wear: edges shortened by grinding or age that make teeth look older.
- Gaps: small spaces between front teeth you would rather close without braces.
- Uneven shapes: teeth that look too small, pointed, or mismatched next to their neighbors.
If several of these apply, veneers may be one part of a larger smile makeover in Napa. Your dentist can also tell you when a simpler treatment would meet your goal.
Dr. Kevin Cabugao
Because of my commitment to excellence some have labeled me as somewhat of a perfectionist… Although true to a certain extent, I disagree. Without the fear of being wrong, I sincerely care about everything I do and try my best to do it well.”
Born in Hawaii and raised in Vallejo, Kevin Cabugao received his BS in Genetics at the University of California at Davis and worked in biotechnology before refocusing his energies towards graduate school. While Kevin found his work in the pharmaceutical industry rewarding, he felt unsatisfied with his career and sought an education that would best complement his enthusiasm for helping others with his understanding of the sciences. With this intention, he received his MBA from California State University East Bay and DDS from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. Currently, he is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association as a part of the Board of Component Relations and has served as the former President of the Napa/Solano Dental Society.
When away from the office, Kevin enjoys listening to music, snowboarding and honing his martial arts as a 4th degree Kajukenbo black belt with over 30 years of experience!
Dr. Paul Belusko
Born and raised in Oregon, Dr. Paul Belusko earned his degree in Biochemistry from Portland State where it was while working in Biotechnology that he realized his calling to serve others was best expressed as a compassionate care provider within dentistry. Soon after, Dr. Belusko attended dental school at Columbia University and graduated with high honors.
During this time, he had the privilege of volunteering as a student dentist serving throughout the rural parts of Jamaica and joined a hospital residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine that partnered with the nearby Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital in the Bronx. As a resident he worked on complex dental cases and added advanced dental implant techniques to his clinical practice. With a surgical skill set greater than most general dentists, Dr. Paul has also earned his fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
After residency, Dr. Belusko returned to the West Coast to serve our veterans at the Washington State VA for several years. Soon after, he travelled south with his wife back to her home state of California, settling down in Napa to be closer to her family and to enjoy the natural beauty of our region as an avid skier, hiker and cyclist. With his wife, keeping his family and community first, Dr. Paul has two children and enjoys mentoring to the local youth as a Napa County 4-H leader in archery and at 4-H camp.
How Long Porcelain Veneers Last
Porcelain is strong and highly resistant to stains when it is bonded correctly. A 2021 systematic review in the Journal of Clinical Medicine that pooled about 6,500 veneers found an estimated 10-year survival rate of 95.5 percent. Fracture was the most common reason for failure, which is why careful bite planning matters.
Your daily habits matter too. Brushing, flossing, regular cleanings, and a night guard if you grind your teeth all help protect your investment. If you clench during stressful seasons, a custom guard can absorb much of that force.
The Veneer Process at Our Napa Office
Your first visit includes an exam, digital images, and a conversation about the shape and shade you want. We check for decay or gum problems first, because healthy teeth give veneers the strongest foundation. We also talk through tooth length, width, and shade so your veneers suit your face and age.
At the next appointment, we gently prepare the teeth, take precise records, and place temporary veneers. When your custom porcelain returns from the lab, we check the fit and color, then bond each veneer in place and polish your bite. Most patients complete treatment in two or three visits over a few weeks.
Porcelain Veneers Compared With Other Options
Veneers are not the only way to improve front teeth. Dental bonding in Napa uses tooth colored resin and costs less, though it stains more easily and may need touch-ups sooner. For a single small chip, bonding is often the more sensible choice.
Professional teeth whitening in Napa is the simplest choice when your teeth are healthy and well shaped but discolored. Our dentists explain the trade-offs honestly and recommend the most conservative option that meets your goal.
Cost of Veneers and Payment Options
Veneer cost depends on how many teeth are treated, the porcelain used, and whether other care is needed first. Because veneers are usually considered cosmetic, most dental plans offer little coverage. Skilled lab work is part of what gives porcelain its lifelike look, and it is part of the cost.
You receive a written estimate before treatment begins, and our team can submit PPO claims for any portion your plan covers. Dental financing can break a veneer plan into monthly payments, and some patients phase treatment, starting with the most visible teeth.

Porcelain Veneer Questions
Do veneers hurt?
Most patients feel little discomfort. We numb the area before preparing your teeth, and any tenderness afterward usually fades within a few days. Over-the-counter pain relievers are usually enough.
How much tooth is removed for a veneer?
Usually a very thin layer of enamel from the front surface, often less than a millimeter, so the veneer sits naturally with your other teeth.
Can veneers be whitened later?
No. Porcelain keeps its color, so we recommend whitening any nearby teeth before your veneer shade is chosen.
Are veneers permanent?
Veneers are considered a permanent choice because enamel is reshaped. A single veneer can be replaced if it chips or wears after many years.
Can I have veneers if I grind my teeth?
Often, yes. We check your bite carefully before treatment and may recommend a night guard to protect the porcelain.
