Dentures in Napa, CA
Comfortable full and partial dentures made to fit your smile.
Losing several teeth, or all of them, can make eating, speaking, and smiling feel like work. An old denture that slips or rubs can be just as frustrating. Many Napa adults simply put up with it for years.
Our Napa office makes full and partial dentures with the care of a practice built on restorative and prosthodontic experience. We focus on fit, bite, and a natural look, and we can stabilize dentures with implants when you want a more secure hold.
Types of Dentures We Offer
Dentures are removable replacement teeth set in a gum colored base. The right type depends on how many teeth you have left and how secure you want them to feel:
- Full dentures: replace all the teeth in the upper or lower jaw.
- Partial dentures: fill gaps when some healthy natural teeth remain, clasping onto them for support.
- Implant stabilized dentures: snap onto a few dental implants, including mini implants, so they move less when you eat and speak.
If you want fixed teeth that do not come out, a full arch on implants may be part of a full mouth reconstruction.
Dr. Kevin Cabugao
Because of my commitment to excellence some have labeled me as somewhat of a perfectionist… Although true to a certain extent, I disagree. Without the fear of being wrong, I sincerely care about everything I do and try my best to do it well.”
Born in Hawaii and raised in Vallejo, Kevin Cabugao received his BS in Genetics at the University of California at Davis and worked in biotechnology before refocusing his energies towards graduate school. While Kevin found his work in the pharmaceutical industry rewarding, he felt unsatisfied with his career and sought an education that would best complement his enthusiasm for helping others with his understanding of the sciences. With this intention, he received his MBA from California State University East Bay and DDS from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. Currently, he is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association as a part of the Board of Component Relations and has served as the former President of the Napa/Solano Dental Society.
When away from the office, Kevin enjoys listening to music, snowboarding and honing his martial arts as a 4th degree Kajukenbo black belt with over 30 years of experience!
Dr. Paul Belusko
Born and raised in Oregon, Dr. Paul Belusko earned his degree in Biochemistry from Portland State where it was while working in Biotechnology that he realized his calling to serve others was best expressed as a compassionate care provider within dentistry. Soon after, Dr. Belusko attended dental school at Columbia University and graduated with high honors.
During this time, he had the privilege of volunteering as a student dentist serving throughout the rural parts of Jamaica and joined a hospital residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine that partnered with the nearby Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital in the Bronx. As a resident he worked on complex dental cases and added advanced dental implant techniques to his clinical practice. With a surgical skill set greater than most general dentists, Dr. Paul has also earned his fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
After residency, Dr. Belusko returned to the West Coast to serve our veterans at the Washington State VA for several years. Soon after, he travelled south with his wife back to her home state of California, settling down in Napa to be closer to her family and to enjoy the natural beauty of our region as an avid skier, hiker and cyclist. With his wife, keeping his family and community first, Dr. Paul has two children and enjoys mentoring to the local youth as a Napa County 4-H leader in archery and at 4-H camp.
Getting Used to New Dentures
It usually takes a few weeks to adjust to new dentures. Speaking may feel different at first, and it helps to start with soft foods cut into small pieces. Sore spots are common early on, and a quick adjustment visit usually fixes them.
Your mouth changes shape over time, so dentures may need to be relined or adjusted as the years pass. Cleaning them daily, taking them out at night, and keeping regular checkups help them fit well and protect your gums.
The Denture Process at Our Napa Office
Your first visit includes an exam, digital images, and a talk about how you want your new smile to look and feel. If any remaining teeth need treatment or removal, we plan that first.
Next, we take impressions and bite records and help you choose the shape and shade of your new teeth. You can try in a wax version to check the look and fit before the final denture is made. When your dentures are ready, we adjust them for comfort and schedule follow-up visits to fine tune the fit.
Dentures Compared With Other Options
Dentures are usually the most affordable way to replace many teeth. A dental bridge is fixed in place and works well for one or two missing teeth when the neighbors are strong. Implants are the most stable option and help preserve the jawbone, though they take longer and cost more.
Many patients choose a middle path, such as a denture held in place by a few implants. Our dentists explain the trade-offs honestly so you can choose what fits your comfort and budget.
Cost of Dentures and Payment Options
Denture cost depends on whether you need a full or partial denture, the materials used, and whether extractions or implants are part of your plan. Many PPO plans cover part of the cost of dentures, and our team can submit claims for any portion your plan allows.
You receive a written estimate before treatment begins. Dental financing can spread the cost into monthly payments.

Denture Questions
How long does it take to get used to dentures?
Most people adjust within a few weeks. Starting with soft foods and reading aloud can help you get comfortable faster.
Can implants keep my denture from slipping?
Yes. A few implants, including mini implants, can anchor a denture so it stays in place while you eat and talk.
Should I sleep with my dentures in?
We usually recommend taking them out at night so your gums can rest. Store them in water or a cleaning solution.
How long do dentures last?
Dentures can last several years, but your mouth changes over time. Most need relining or adjusting along the way to keep a good fit.
Can you fix my old denture?
Often, yes. We can check your current denture and let you know whether a reline, repair, or new denture makes more sense.
